We had a great group meeting last week. Thanks so much for coming and sharing so many ideas about Liam and Dusya. I will post the highligts of the meeting in a few days. I think a key conclusion we had was to not assume any feelings in the kids, like "Liam is sad" or "Liam is pulling away" or "Duch is bored." Those are assumptions we invent in our heads. We need to go to the room with the silliest and funniest intentions and that energy will be communicated to them and our attitude will motivate their attitude. Here is a tip from the SonRise facebook page:
HELPFUL TIP FOR OUR CHILDREN: It mattters what you think on the inside just as much as what you demonstrate on the outside. Our children are so smart - so capable - so amazing at reading our every cue. When celebrating your child, it matters that you feel sincerely excited on the inside. When not reacting to your child's tantrum, it matters that you focus on inner calm. Your child will see it all.
